The UK Guppy league is now a well established competition.  It is for a single male guppy and is a fantastic introduction to showing guppies and of course, for those yet to show,  seeing good quality guppies.  A brilliant opertunity to meet other guppy breeders too !

The competition is held over several legs, the last one of which is at our own International Guppy Show and European Championship show for pairs which is organised at the BLA Convention in October.

A participant only needs to attend three of the six or seven shows.  It is the top three scores that are added to achieve the final score.  Most attend as many shows as they can  to try to get the best scores that they can !

The shows have been spread out so that guppy keepers in the south and in the north can have the opertunity to attend at least two shows easily, and with three shows in a fairly central location it is easy to find the minimum three shows to attend.

The UK Guppy League shows are hosted by several club open shows.  We simply tag along with the facilities and organisation that has already been prepared.  Each show therefore takes place as per the host club with regards to benching times, entry fees etc.  However we provide our own judges, three judges are used to judge to IKGH rules.  We have our own benching system with tiers and a suitable background to make a fantastic display that usually is far superior to the host show display !  The tanks are all exactly the same in every detail  which makes the display even better (and removes any accusation of advantage, favouratism or prejudice). They are made by Brian Chittenden and are available for £4.50 each.
