The British Livebearer Association Livebearer Section is successfully growing and developing from its beginnings about 6 years ago.  We have a very successful international Guppy show every October at the BLA Convention .  This is usually a European Championship show. 

We also organise the UK Guppy League which is a great opportunity for our members to meet and talk guppies (and other things!).  The League shows are indeed a fantastic way of seeing good quality guppies. 

We also have a ‘Guppy weekend’ every February in which we have several lectures and of course our judges training course. 

Several of our members are now qualified to judge to IKGH standards and get their practice with the UK Guppy League.  Some of our members are registered as IKGH judges and often attend European Championship shows as judges. 

We are active with in both the UK and across Europe with guppy shows, with attending, showing and judging. 

We have a data base of those who have an interest in guppies, whether BLA members or not, who receive brief newsletters giving information and details of our activities  (these are included elsewhere on this website).

The best thing about the guppy group is the friendliness and helpfulness of the members.  If you have an interest in guppies then you are welcome to make contact and join the club.  It doesn’t matter what your level is, beginner or seasoned aquarist, we have a full mix and we cater for everyone.
