  • Blue / green monty. This form was cultivated over an 8 year period in the USA from its first introduction. According to Al.Klopman when grown in natural daylight they get a significant area of bright red along the lateral line on each flank. The blue/green refers to the iridescence on the body.
  • Ivory Monty. This form cultivated in the USA for 7 years since it's collection from the wild in 1998 under a waterfall in the Rio Gallinas area of southern Mexico.
This form also referred to as the 'mottled monty'
  • Rascon. Reportedly the most white coloured of all populations of montezumae. They have deep bodies which are bright white with black speckles..
