Two size morphs are known in males with sizes of 25 & 40 mm. Females 75 mm.

Populations

  • Rio Santo Domingo, Chiapas State, Mexico.
Type Locality

Near the town of Chico, State of Veracruz, Mexico in the Rio Atoyac near Finca St. Anita

Distribution

Limited to the type locality.

Habitat

Found near the banks of a fast flowing river.

Distinguishing Characteristics Colouration is pale compared to other members of the genus.

History

First collected on the 24th February 1979 by E. Hnilicka. The male type specimen measured 33·6 mm sl.

Breeding Notes

It has been reported that this sp. can be bred in a colony set up.
