Breeding Notes

A.hubbsi is an aggressive fish and do best in sizeable aquaria (www.goodeiden.de recommend at least 60 litres per fish) with plenty of hiding places. The temperature should be cool (between 18 °C and 23 °C) and the water should be hard and alkaline.
A.hubbsi are very territorial and when insufficient space is provided the weaker fish can be killed.
Breeding is difficult and www.goodeiden.de reports that cooler temperatures are important.
